What’s ahead

Things to know before booking your tickets

You can purchase your Spotify Camp Nou tickets online or directly at the stadium’s Gate No. 9. Booking online is highly recommended as you can avoid long queues at the stadium, get your preferred timeslot, and do away with ticket counter surcharges. When booking your tickets, make sure they don’t coincide with match days, as this could limit your tour experience or even deem your tickets null and void (read our article for more details). Camp Nou’s tickets get delivered to your inbox once you purchase them; all you need to do on the day of your visit is show the e-ticket at the entrance and walk in. No need for printouts!

Camp Nou tours are affected on match days (partial tours, limited experience), Champions League matches, and La Liga and Copa del Rey matches. We recommend you avoid booking a tour on such days.

Confused about which attractions to visit? Want the best bang for your buck? Then, buy the Barcelona Essentials Pass, which offers you access to Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Camp Nou, etc., with free public transportation in and around the city.

Opening hours

The Spotify Camp Nou Live Museum experience is open from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm on weekdays and Saturdays. It opens from 10 am to 2.30 pm on Sundays and other public holidays.

It remains closed on New Year’s Day (January 1), Epiphany (January 6), La Mercè Festival (September 24), and Christmas Day (December 25).

Note: Tour timings can be limited or canceled based on the matches (Champions League, Copa del Rey) being played at the stadium.

How long does the tour take

The Camp Nou Tour, including the FC Barcelona Museum and the Stadium, takes 1.5 to 2 hours, considering visits to the trophy room, the press room, the players’ tunnel, and the pitch itself.

If you are a Culer or Blaugranes—that’s what serious FC Barcelona fans call themselves, you might end up spending an extra hour or two (4 hours) to indulge in the stadium’s history and ambiance.

Luckily, your tour ticket has no time limit: Once inside, you can stay until the attraction closes for the day.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Camp Nou is when it opens for the day, i.e., at 9.30 am.

The queues are usually short before 11 am, and you can spend a good amount of time exploring the exhibits at the FC Barcelona stadium and Museum.

The next best time is around 4 pm; however, you’d only get 2.5 hours to make the most of your tour. So, plan your tour wisely.

One of the best ways to avoid the crowd is by booking your Camp Nou tour tickets online. You are guaranteed faster access to the stadium and can choose your preferred timeslot, too.

We strongly discourage you from visiting the attraction close to match days as there’s a high chance of your tour getting canceled.

Camp Nou in winter

Touring the stadium during winter is another great way to avoid crowds and have a more intimate footballing experience.

We advise you to wear warm clothing during this season as the stadium feels colder than usual.

Note: The self-guided museum tour is an indoor experience; it won’t be affected by the weather outside.

Want to watch a FC Barcelona match live?
Then book this exclusive FC Barcelona Football Match ticket and be electrified by the atmosphere at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys stadium as you watch La Masia’s brightest weave magic on the field!

Best time for photographs

There is no precise best time to click photographs inside the Museum; the area is always well-lit, and you can click pictures of trophies and other memorabilia throughout the day.

If you looking to click good photographs of the stadium, we suggest doing it before 5 pm.

Post 5 pm, Camp Nou tends to darken faster, and shadows start to elongate across the frame, messing up with the aesthetics of a snap.

Pro tip: Avoid wearing green if you want to get photographed on the pitch; you would end up looking like an extension of the lush green grass of Camp Nou.

What to see during a Camp Nou tour

Your self-guided tour covers everything there is to see at Europe’s finest football stadium—on non-match days, to be precise.

Here’s a rundown of what you shouldn’t miss when touring Camp Nou and all it holds within.

3D presentation

This 3D show, with no audio accompanying it, provides images and scenes from the club’s all-time favorite football matches.

These include the Pep Guardiola-led 2010 El Clasico, Ronaldo Koeman’s 1992 European Cup Final, and Rivaldo’s 3-goal 2001 Barca vs Valencia Champions League qualifier.

The 3D Presentation is a must-visit if you are touring with kids, as it’s sure to enthrall them more than the adults—unless you’re a true blue and red Culer!

Away team dressing room

Get a sneak peek inside the away team’s dressing room, where many modern legends of the game have discussed team strategies before facing the mighty FC Barcelona.

Chief among them are Ryan Giggs (Manchester United), David Beckham (Real Madrid), Didier Drogba (Chelsea), and Frank Lampard (Chelsea).

FC Barcelona’s Chapel

Even the footballing gods need some ‘me’ time with their maker—especially when there’s a lot at stake on the pitch!

Situated right next to the player’s dressing room, the chapel is a major pit-stop for players before they enter the pitch and face their opponents.

Feeling Lost?
Though the Camp Nou Experience is self-guided, there are enough directional arrows, information boards, bright yellow barriers, etc., to guide you through the tour. You’ll also find security guards and attendants guiding you if you get stuck.

Players’ tunnel and the dugout

Guaranteed to give you goosebumps, this part of the tour is what stardom is all about as you tour the same tunnel graced by football’s very best.

Be it the Barcelona or away teams, walk on the path threaded by icons like Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Ronaldo, Romario, Ronaldhino, Xavi, and the club’s all-time favorite poster boy, Messi.

Once you are done exploring the tunnel, you can sit on the dugout benches and pretend to do fake warm-ups as if you will be called next!

Note: This part of the tour remains closed on match days.

FC Barcelona Museum

One of the most cherished parts of the stadium, the museum is home to a wide range of exhibits, including trophies, jerseys, and photographs.

Its interactive walls tell the story of the Catalan club, from its humble beginnings to its current status of being one of the most famous entities in the world.

You’ll find the club’s five Champions League trophies, three FIFA Club World Cups, 27 La Liga titles and cups, and 31 Copa Del Rey trophies displayed here.

Press Box and Room

Explore the club’s elegant 29-cabin press box placed 35 meters above the ground, giving you a bird’s eye view of all the action taking place down on the pitch.

Your tour ticket also gives you access to the club’s press rooms featuring state-of-the-art facilities where reporters and journalists jostle to bring out the very best of pitch action unraveling before their eyes.

Artwork of Miro

Joan Miró Ferra’s ‘Futbol Club Barcelona’ is a beautiful lithograph displayed near the museum.

It exhibits his love for automatism, a method of spontaneous drawing that attempted to express the inner workings of the human psyche.

The painting in question is a commemorative poster for FC Barcelona’s 75th anniversary in 1974.

It combines wandering linear lines and motifs of birds and eyes, the Catalan team’s crest, and the word ‘Barça’ painted in Miró’s own handwriting.

The Messi Zone

Pin
Image: Sbo.net

There are no words to describe this footballing maestro who grew up in this club; Messi’s trophies and individual honors speak volumes about his genius and longevity on the field.

Chief among these are his six Golden Boots and those eight glittering Ballon D’ors, making him the most decorated player in football history.

Well, if his trophies and prizes overwhelm you, get ready to be blown away by a big screen displaying Messi’s legendary goals, dribbles, feigned passes, and sportsmanship on and off the pitch.

Restaurants in Camp Nou

No clock works better than our hunger pangs!

So, while touring the attraction, you can always take a break and enjoy some good Spanish food at Tapas 24, fast food joint Pans and Company, or sweet treats at Ice Rink.

The stadium’s Estrella Damm Hall also serves beer and snacks if you want some light tipple.

FC Barcelona Souvenirs

If you are looking for some souvenirs to pick up after your Camp Nou tour, we suggest stepping into the FCBotiga store, the official merchandise outlet of Barcelona FC.

While the largest of these FCBotiga stores is at Camp Nou, you can find them in other parts of Barcelona, too.

Entrances and access points

Camp Nou Stadium EntrancesPin

There are many ways to get into the stadium on a match day (check the orange boxes in the image).

However, if you are specifically looking for the tour entrance to the Camp Nou stadium and museum, it’s in front of the FC Barcelona ice rink.

You can use Gate No. 7 or Gate No. 9 on Avinguda de Joan XXIII to reach this point between Barça Café and the Barça Store Camp Nou.

If you are reaching Barcelona Stadium by Line 5, you can either alight at the Collblanc or Badal metro station

Both Line 3 and Line 5 metro stations are approximately a 10-minute walk from the stadium.

Free parking is available for all visitors during the tour hours. We suggest entering the Stadium via Access 14 (Carrer Arístides Maillol) once you park your vehicle.

On match days, parking is available only till 4 hours before the kick-off time. So, it’s better to opt for public transport if you have booked your tour on a match day.
