Things to know before booking tickets

You can buy the standard tickets for Mount Faber or Sentosa Line at any of the Cable Car stations. However, we recommend you purchase the Singapore Cable Car Roundtrip ticket online because it offers a better experience. 

With the Cable Car Roundtrip ticket, you can board either the Mount Faber Line or Sentosa Line from any station you choose and get off whenever you want. You also avoid wasting time at ticket counter lines when buying tickets online. 

After the purchase, tickets are emailed to you. On the day of your visit, show the e-ticket on your smartphone and get a paper ticket at any Singapore Cable Car station ticketing counter. Remember to bring your official IDs.

Singapore Cable Car tickets

The Cable Car Sky Pass gets you one round trip on the Mount Faber Line and one on the Sentosa Line.

That is, you can access all the stations on both the Cable Car Lines twice during your trip. 

The ticket also includes admission fees for entry to Sentosa Island.

Note: During the maintenance closure dates, a shuttle bus loop service operates daily between Mount Faber Peak and HarbourFront Tower 2.

Validity of the ticket

Your ticket for a ride on the Cable Car of Singapore is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. 

However, once you use it, it is valid only for that day – you must use it on the same day.

Singapore Cable Car tickets for visitors aged 13 years and above cost S$32 per person.

Children aged 4 to 12 years pay a discounted price of S$23 for their entry.

Seniors and the disabled do not get any discounts.

Children younger than four years can join the ride for free.

Singapore Cable Car starts its operations at 8.45 am and closes at 10 pm every day of the week.

The ticket counters end 45 minutes before closure, and the last boarding is half an hour before the service stops for the day.

The best time to ride the Singapore Cable Car is either during the morning, when it opens at 8.45 am, or in the evenings for the perfect sunset views.

Rush hours are generally in the late mornings and early afternoons.

Weekdays are less crowded than weekends and public holidays.

Mount Faber Line

The Mount Faber Line links Singapore’s Mainland to Sentosa Island.

This Cable Car line begins from Singapore’s only hilltop destination, Faber Peak, and ends at Sentosa Island. 

It has 67 cabins, which can seat eight adult passengers each.

The Harbourfront Cable Car station is inside a skyscraper called HarbourFront Tower 2 – on the 15th floor. 

The ticketing office is on the first floor of the building.

Sentosa Station

Sentosa Station is the last station on the Mount Faber Line.

It is at Imbiah Lookout, Singapore’s biggest cluster of attractions, in Sentosa Island.

If you want to explore Sentosa Island or transfer to the Sentosa Line at Imbiah Lookout station, get down at the Sentosa station.

Attractions along Mount Faber Line

When you board the Cable Car on Mount Faber Line, you first move across the world-class highway, taking in the impressive sights of Singapore’s Central Business District.

After crossing the highway from above, the Mount Faber Line goes through a building (yes, that’s right!). 

This station on Level 15 of Harbourfront Tower 2 is known as the Harbourfront station.

The moment you leave the Harbourfront station, you see Keppel Harbor, including the Harbourfront Cruise Centre. 

At the edge of the Harbour, lush greenery starts, indicating that you are on top of Sentosa Island.  

That’s when you will spot the Merlion welcoming you to Sentosa.

Sentosa Line

The Sentosa Line is the latest of the two and is an intra-island Cable Car journey. 

It covers the length of Sentosa Island, helping you hop to the numerous attractions.

Merlion Station is the first station on the Sentosa Line. 

You must get down here if you plan to visit Sentosa Merlion, S.E.A Aquarium, Universal Studios Singapore, etc..

Attractions along the Sentosa Line

The Sentosa Cable Car Line is less of a visual treat and more of a means to get around the attractions in Sentosa Island. 

However, you get brilliant views of Sentosa Island when airborne. 

When you start from Merlion station, you see Skyline Luge’s tracks, Skylift, and the pristine blue waters of the beach.

During your journey from Imbiah Lookout Station to Siloso Point Station, you can see Mount Imbiah’s lush green jungle, MegaZip Adventure Park, Fort Siloso, Siloso Beach Resort, and Siloso Beach.

How to change Cable Car Lines

Singapore Cable Car’s Mount Faber Line and Sentosa Line do not converge at any one station. 

However, changing from one Line to the other is relatively easy.

If you are on Mount Faber Line, get down at Sentosa Station and walk to Imbiah Lookout Station.

If you are on Sentosa Line, get down at Imbiah Lookout station and walk to Sentosa station.

The distance between the two stations’ entrances is less than 100 meters (328 feet).

How to reach Singapore Cable Car

You can reach the attraction both by public or private transport.

We detail both the approaches below – 

Singapore Cable Car by MRT

HarbourFront MRT station is closest to a Singapore Cable Car station.

To reach the HarbourFront MRT station, you need to board either the North East Line (Purple) or the Circle Line (Yellow) of the Singapore MRT network.

Once you reach HarbourFront MRT station, take Exit B towards HarbourFront Centre. 

Head West on Telok Blangah Road and then turn left onto Harbourfront Avenue. 

After a minute of walking on Harbourfront Avenue, on your left, you will spot HarbourFront Tower Two, which houses the Singapore Cable Car station. 

You can go to Faber Peak or Sentosa Island from this Cable Car station. Directions to HarbourFront Station

Driving to Singapore Cable Car

If you plan to drive to a Singapore Cable Car station, it is best to go to the first station of Mount Faber Line, which is (as you can guess!) on Mount Faber.

Mount Faber is around 19 km (12 miles) from Singapore city center, and the drive takes 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the traffic.
